RE: New to HMP, Transfer calls to DID. Is this possible?

I am also a newbie, close to purchasing 1500 ports of HMP voice, RTP, and IP Call Control. But I also cannot get a transfers to a DID to work. I hope I do not offend anyone, but I am sick and tired of everyone saying look at the 2003 visual studios 2003 code examples for blind and supervised transfers. Plus neither have examples or instructions of transferring out to a DID, just internal SIP transfers to an internal SIP endpoint. I need this a call comes into an IVR I have created using HMP, someone presses 0, the call center is a clients and they have provided a 10 digit TF or DID to transfer to. I can do this with my TDM system using Dialogic, but I cannot get it to work with HMP. I have wasted countless hours looking for examples and can find zero, just the 16 year old examples linked in this blog.

Regardless of age of the examples provided prior the functionality for either the blind or supervised transfer functionality still remains the same in this case today. It’s just a matter of updating the projects themselves, but that's a different topic for a different day. The main question here should be what does your remote switch or SIP provider have support for in this case when using SIP REFER method for transfer in this case??  Do you know this answer?

Once that is known then you can use either call flow sequence needed accordingly and it should work. Your scenario described sounds like a blind transfer in this case, where you take the inbound call and tell the switch to redirect it to another phone number instead. In that case, you just need to call invokexfer API and make sure the “refer-to” field is set to that new destination string. And the remote switch will handle the rest of the work after the REFER/202 accepted exchange.

Note that there are also explanations of different scenarios in the GC IP TUG as well in chapter:

3.3 Call Transfer Scenarios When Using SIP

www.dialogic.com/.../globalcall_for_ip_hmp_v12.pdf

But overall, as stated earlier you need to determine what your switch supports and then follow that method accordingly

Hi I am new to HMP. I just installed it on a server in development, purchased a 4 port license. I am using a Cisco cube/router, call are getting passed through the cube to the gc_basic_call application. I can answer the call, transfer to a SIP end point play voice files ... But, I do not know how to transfer back out to an external DID. Is this even possible?

Dialogic D120JCTLSEW card - Driver config and GC demo config : help needed

Hi,

I am trying to run GC demo application and need help for configuring demo app and driver.

I have Dialogic card D120JCTLSEW connected to the PCIe on dell server. I have installed linux Dialogic driver 6.1.

Can I run GC demo app without anything connected to Dialogic board in loopback mode?

How do I make sure drivers are properly loaded?

While running "listboards" command I get error "Failed to open driver message queue, Driver failed to initialize" and "devmapdump" command shows Dialogic card connected to slot/bus 0/65.

How do I resolve this? or can you guide the steps to follow to configure drivers and run GC demo app in loopback mode?

Thank you,

Kush.

gc_Start and gc_OpenEx on two applications in one system Error

Hi,

I am testing two applications in one system using 4 channels.

I have failed to gc_start and gc_OpenEx for several tries.

First Try

- Set  Board max total call as 4 for each applications

=> gc_start failed on send starting application

Second Try

- Set Board max total call as 2 for each applications

- gc_start : success

- gc_OpenEX withe name ":N_iptB1T1:P_SIP:V_dxxxB1C1:M_ipmB1C1" on first application => Success

- gc_OpenEX withe name ":N_iptB1T3:P_SIP:V_dxxxB1C3:M_ipmB1C3" on second application => Failed

finally, I cannot use 4 channels license on two applications(even though, each application only uses 2 channels).

Is there any mistake on my approach?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

I had a very similar question and wanted to seek clarification - there is no way for a secondary application to hook into an existing virtboard instance (e.g. a virtboard is started but each channel within the virtboard is handled by separate applications)? I have been experimenting with this (trying to skip the gc_Start command as we do NOT want to open another SIP listening port) and I wanted to be sure this is something that can't be done or if I am going about this the wrong way.

What specific step did it freeze with?  Might be something from your own environment, as we had not seen a "freeze" issue. Admittedly, there have been some other install issue addressed in recent SUs for other problems but not this. So need more details as to where.

Could it just be a parsing issue where it could locate BoardNumber=1 in the pyramid file?

Or what else could be of concern?

Thanks

Question - what would be the expected normal latency on HMP between receiving an RTP packet on one call  and sending the packet on a second call when the two calls are hairpinned using gc_listen()?

Hello,

We have at office Dialogic® D/4PCIUF Media Board card that was used in an old machine. The server was upgraded to Windows 10 OS or Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, and we want to configure the dialogic PCIe card, but we didn't find adequate drivers. As this server has the role of an IVR, it's important for us to configure the card in this server.

Can anyone help me please ?? I would be grateful for you !

Best regards,
